About Me

A former educator who has enjoyed performing over the years, I am an arts lover who has performed on school and community stages, danced, and plays several instruments. While in college, I studied acting and became interested in voiceover, and I hosted a talk show, “Hora de Cabo Verde” on a local television station that focused on showcasing local Cabo Verdeans.

As a true logophile, my love of books and learning led me to earning five degrees: AS-Computer Science, BS-Business, MS-Elementary Education, 6th Year-Educational Leadership, and Ph.D.-Leadership in Education. Now as a former teacher and principal, I’m able to combine my love for the arts and reading in audiobook narration and voiceover.

I’m a Cape Verdean-American woman born and raised in New England. As a lifelong volunteer, I have been an advocate for underserved populations, and as a result, I am particularly interested in narrating books about racial justice and social justice. As a reader, my favorite genres have always been mystery/thriller, romance, and horror, so I enjoy narrating these as well.

When not in the studio, I enjoy spending time with my family, volunteer work, playing my musical instruments, reading, writing, taking photos, researching genealogy to work on my family tree, learning different languages (Spanish, Portuguese, French), and of course, listening to audiobooks!
